Master's Degree: Master of Technology

2. School of Basic & Applied Sciences

Passed in PUC / CBSE/ ICSE or equivalent examination with Chemistry as one of the compulsory subjects in the qualifying examination with 45% marks in aggregate. Students who have not studied Chemistry in the qualifying examination have to undergo a short term (remedial) course of 2 months duration in Chemistry to qualify for admission to the UG program. The course will be conducted two months before the commencement of regular course.

3. School of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Doctor of Pharmacy

1. Pharm.D: A pass in any of the following examinations-10+2 / PUC or equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology.

2. Candidates who have passed D.Pharm course from institutions approved by Pharmacy Council of India U/S 12 of Pharmacy Act, 1948, are only eligible to be admitted to first year Pharm.D course.

Bachelor of Pharmacy Candidates who have passed two year PUC examination of Karnataka PUC board or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board or University with not less than 40% marks in any combination comprising PCM or PCB (minimum eligibility should be based on the aggregate of PCM or PCB) or PCMB, PC and Computer Science, PC and Electronics.

Note: In respect of candidates who have taken PCMB combination of the aggregate of PCM or PCB whichever is higher shall be considered for the purpose of admission. Admission to II year Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Lateral Entry) shall be open to candidates who hold a diploma in pharmacy.

Master of Pharmacy

1. A candidate who has passed B.Pharm degree examination of recognized Indian University recognized by Law in India or any other degree courses in Pharmacy recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) or All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) for this purpose and who has secured not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years) prescribed for the qualification examination shall be eligible for the admission to M.Pharm course.

2. Foreign students seeking admissions should have equivalent qualification and must be proficient in English. Candidates must have minimum TOEFL score.

5. School of Allied Health Sciences

1. Nursing  

Course Duration Eligibility
B.Sc Nursing 4 Years
  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
  • Minimum education: 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
  • Student shall be medically fit.
  • Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks
  • Should pass in Entrance test conducted by University
P.B.B.Sc Nursing 2 Years
  • Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
  • A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council
  • Candidates shall be medically fit
  • Should pass in Entrance test conducted by University
M.Sc Nursing 2 Years
  • The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with Minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  • The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  • Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • Candidate shall be medically fit.
  • 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given
  • Should pass in Entrance test conducted by University

2. Physiotherapy  

Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy (B.P.T.) Pass in PUC/CBSE/ISCE/10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 40% marks aggregate in PCB with English as one of the languages.

Master’s in Physiotherapy (M.P.T.)

Pass in B.Sc, (PT) degree of 3 ½ years duration or BPT degree of 4½ years both full time programs from any recognized university in India or abroad as equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and have completed 6 months of compulsory rotating internship in physiotherapy colleges.
