PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • Assess health status, identify nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patient/client that contribute to health ,individual ,family and community
  • Provide promotive, preventive, and restorative health services in line with the national health policies and program.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals and groups, and members of the health team in order to promote effective interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, managerial skill and function effectively as nurse educator and manager.   
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skill in making decisions  in all situations in order to provide quality care.
  • Demonstrate skill in conducting nursing research, interpreting and utilizing the findings from health related research.

MISSION
The course in Physiotherapy aims to impart in-depth knowledge and skill to a student in basics of physiotherapy to make them competent enough for best practices, professionalism, leadership, various physical diagnosis techniques required for clinical reasoning and carry out physiotherapy treatment with evidence based practice with professional ethics.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • To Acquire the in-depth knowledge of structure and function of human body related to the respective branch of specialty.
  • To Acquire the in-depth knowledge of movement dysfunction of human body, cause thereof, & of principles underlying the use of physiotherapeutic interventions, for restoring movement dysfunction towards normalcy.
  • To Demonstrate the ability to make clinical decision & select appropriate outcome measures based on the comprehensive knowledge of theoretical aspects of specialty.
  • To acquire skills of clinical reasoning and implementation of evidence based practice.
  • To acquire skills of teaching and practice.
  • To acquire skills of research methods.
  • To acquire the managerial & management skills in planning implementation, & administration in clinical practice.
  • To acquire competency towards professional autonomy and independent practice.
  • To acquire the broad education necessary to understand the impact of Physiotherapy in global, economic, environmental, and societal context.
